In this hilarious sequel to Greater Tuna, it's Christmas in the third smallest town in Texas. Radio station OKKK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including hot competition in the annual lawn display contest. In other news, voracious Joe Bob Lipsey's production of "A Christmas Carol" is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. Many colorful Tuna denizens, some you will recognize from Greater Tuna and some appearing here for the first time, join in the holiday fun. A Tuna Christmas is a total delight for all seasons

Michael Domingo

Michael is very happy and honored to be a part of this silly and spectacular show. Michael was last seen as Jonathan Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace. Other Performances at Playhouse 51 include: Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge, You Can’t Take It With You, A Party to Murder, and Rumors. He also played in Howard Pries’s original production of, Dying Out Loud @ the Evergreen Theatre.

Michael has also been in theatre productions at Theatre Memphis, along with Kings Players, Northwest Savoyards and Historic Everett Theatre in the Seattle area. Michael can be seen as a cop in the film, Soul Men, an extra somewhere in the film Losers Take All, and as Lucius in the short independent film, Here by the Ocean, by Undertone Pictures. Michael has recently done voice over work with Catillac Productions for a Civil War based documentary due to hopefully be out within the next year.

Michael thanks God for everything, including the fact that he is a proud father-to-be. He thanks his wife, and daughter, friends and other family for their continued love and support.  Last and certainly not least, very special thanks go out to Paul, Howard and Kathy. You guys are the best! Thank you so much for your faith in me not only as an actor, but as a friend.

Michael currently serves alongside his fellow Seabees in the US Navy Reserves.

Howard Pries

Earlier this year, Howard produced and directed his original play, Dying Out Loud at Evergreen Theatre.  Michael Domingo starred in the play as the character Maurice, and was nothing short of brilliant! Howard is honored to be sharing the stage with someone as talented and generous as Mike. He couldn’t think of anyone else he’d want to take this journey with.

Throughout the years, Howard has appeared in a variety of different shows in and around Memphis.  Howard has been in two other shows at Playhouse 51, Moon Over Buffalo and Same Time, Next Year. (cheers Bill!)

Having Paul Webb direct you in a comedy is like Gordon Ramsey giving you cooking lessons. Howard has deep admiration and respect for Paul both professionally and personally.

Howard wants to thank his lovely wife Pamela for her continued, ongoing support in all of his theatrical endeavors. He can’t thank her enough for understanding his sudden desire to wear women’s clothes. Howard promises that as soon as the play is over, he is back to walking in flats.

Director
Paul Webb

This is Paul's first time to direct at Playhouse 51 and he is thoroughly elated to do so.  He has been seen acting in productions all around Memphis, including Theatre Memphis, Collierville's Harrell Theatre, Bartlett Performing Arts and Conference Center and right here at Playhouse 51.  Some of Paul's favorite roles have been Walter Cunningham in To Kill a Mockingbird; Father Kelleher in Catch Me if You Can; George Seacole in the critically acclaimed Much Ado About Nothing; Sheriff John Curtis Buntner in Dearly Beloved; and George Hay in Playhouse 51's Moon Over Buffalo

Paul wishes to thank Playhouse 51 for giving him the opportunity to direct this wonderful play.  He also wants to thank Howard Pries and Michael Domingo for their tireless devotion to this play.  Also, a big thanks to Kathy Masters who literally was the glue that held everything together.  And finally, I thank my loving family; Paula, Austin and Emma, who always remind me that if we don't try, we don't do, and if we don't do, then what are we here for.

Thank you all for supporting community theatre, and Happy Holidays to everyone!!!

Stage Manager
Kathy Masters

Kathy has been involved in Playhouse 51 since its inception, serving a term as Administrative Director, working the box office, ushering, concessions, coordinating costumes and working anywhere else an extra hand was needed.  She has been stage manager for numerous productions.  She encourages anyone who has some spare time to volunteer with Playhouse 51. She is always looking for backstage workers.  “It’s a great way to experience the inner workings of the theatre and lots of fun too!”
